Reflections – Photo by Rob Laynton

Canal barges often provide nice examples of bright colours and reflections. This isn’t one of the best examples, as the composition is a little weak, but you get the idea I am sure. If you can find a small marina on the canal, then a group of narrowboats like these can provide some interesting shapes and reflections. But you definitely need a bright sunny day, with the sun behind you or slightly to the side to get maximum colour brilliance. This image was taken in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
