There is something slightly menacing about this image – the spikiness of the half buried tree and the enigmatic shadow on the bottom left serve to suggest an element of threat to the couple walking on the beach. I love this kind of image – taken completely spontaneously – it has both a minimalist and a surreal dream-like quality about it.
